What an agent needs
| Need | On this site |
|---|---|
| Text it can read | Every page has a Markdown twin at the same address with .md, and a request that sends Accept: text/markdown gets it. |
| An index | /llms.txt lists every page, and /llms-full.txt holds every page except the language pages in one file. |
| A license it can act on | The SIL Open Font License 1.1 allows bundling the fonts into a repository, an app or a site, so an agent can add them to a project. |
| Stable addresses | The stylesheet is at /fonts/katagami.css with open CORS, and /download/files.json lists every font file with its size. |
| Facts as data | Each member's metrics, characters and OpenType features are in /data.js. |
| Shared line metrics | Every member has the same line metrics. The ascender is 1984 and the descender is -494 on a 2048-unit em, so swapping one member for another does not move the lines. |
A prompt for a coding agent
Set this project's fonts to Katagami. Read https://katagami.kevinliu.studio/llms.txt first. Link https://katagami.kevinliu.studio/fonts/katagami.css and use "Katagami Sans" for interface text, "Katagami Serif" for long reading and "Katagami Mono" for code, each with a system fallback. Leave code ligatures off. Change nothing else.
The prompt names the stylesheet and the families and limits the change, so the diff stays small enough to review.
The machine view
The Machine switch at the top of every page shows the page as an agent reads it. The switch shows the page's Markdown twin set in Katagami Mono.
Agents in the terminal
Agents that run in a terminal print in the terminal's font. Fonts in coding agents covers what that font has to draw and how to set it.
